A chance to unwind finally!

It was a nice break last night. After a week of intense classes on Korean, a few of us went off campus to a nearby "pub". A few hours of sharing Lemon Soju, squid, BBQ pork, corn and whipped eggs did everyone a lot of good. We spent the time with students from Chad, France, China, and Japan.

It was a fun evening, and I think it had a bearing on my finally sleeping really well for the first time. The weather was cool but pleasant for the walk off campus and many new friends were made. The Korean drinking games seemed to help quickly break down any language barriers and nervousness. By the end of the evening it was as if all of us had known each other for years.

Now today the weather is quite cool and the sky is a bright solid blanket of gray. Guess, I will break down and attempt to figure out the Korean washers again and do some laundry. The washers are really impressive even if I can't read the directions yet. They are capable of sensing things as the type of clothes (delicate, whites, colors etc) and how many clothes (full load, half etc) and adjusts all the settings itself. You just put your soap and softeners in and away it goes! Pretty impressive technology!

Until next time, stay well my friends
